How slow is slow? I'm fine waiting a few minutes for something that would normally take me an hour.

Like Adam I would also very much like to generate atlases directly from the layers of a PSD, automatically cropped and with their original positions saved to the export file in order. I'll actually be hacking on this feature for the next few days...

Your tool is a godsend, and PLEASE do NOT make it an external tool.

Javascript is not a speedking, but it works, and whats most important it will be open and will always have a common ground of compatibility via Photoshop, and of course as I suspect 99% of the applications of your script will require a certain extent of cusomisation in the code itself, so its important that it remains in the Open so that every developer can tweak it to his or her tastes!

I definitely vote for FLEXIBILITY + COMPATIBILITY over speed.

I understand what you mean with the script speed. I know I would personally like an external tool for the speed, but I really would like it to use the Photoshop layer data, and have the ability to create a .psd. I just haven't seen a good way to get that done without scripting it in Photoshop.
